Kill La Kill review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:55 (A review of Kill La Kill )

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I watched this. The fan service was overwhelming, I felt like I was being smothered by it. (not in a good way) and even worse the show was suffering for it! I love how Kill la Kill is a unique blend of strong humour and dark, weird and slightly disturbing stuff. The action scenes where amazing. They had so much drama and style, I love the characters too! Who ever thought that taking of sunglasses could make someone so suddenly fabulous!

Hakaba kitarรด review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:49 (A review of Hakaba kitarรด)

I feel really alone in this fandom because no one really understands how great this show really is. Most people see the art style and are like "No way, I hate the art style. I'm not watching that." Those people are missing out on one of the most charming and unique story's of a lifetime. It only really starts to get good at about halfway, but then it really enraptures you in it's weirdly cute style and manner of going about things.

Death Note review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:45 (A review of Death Note)

I have been reading lots of top ten favourite anime list and I have found that Death Note has the highest success rate among them all. While many people have differing favourite animes Death Note nearly always ends up between 2 and 5th place. While it may not be many peoples favourite, it nearly always holds a spot in peoples hearts in the top five. And it definitely deserves it. No complaints there. I would recommend this as a first series for an introduction to anime. The idea of Near and Mello was a good one but it lost it's humorous charm that the show needed after episode 25.

Angel Beats! review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:35 (A review of Angel Beats!)

Maybe I'm over hyping this series for all that it's worth but this is an anime that made me laugh, then made me cry. It has great characters and I am surprised that I could become attached to them enough to cry at the ending in just 13 episodes. Truly exceptional. But it's downfall was it's messy plot. They didn't explain that you weren't supposed to know this stuff until the end so until you finished the series you where just left feeling like you missed something very important.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:28 (A review of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

When I say here that the manga is the superior version, I don't just mean over fma, but fma b wasn't nearly as good as the manga counterpart. The main thing that was so gripping about it was the story and characters. The manga has the great story and characters too! Except they are portrayed in a better more understandable manner. Also the manga did a better job of turning the humour into seriousness, where the anime seemed a little jumpy. Suddenly it's humour. Then someone you like dies. Then it's humour again. That being said, it is still an excellent anime, just because I like the manga better doesn't mean I can't appreciate how good this series is.

Cowboy Bebop review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:17 (A review of Cowboy Bebop)

This anime is the LITERAL definition of cool and style. In some ways it is similar to trigon, but with less humour and more classy action. It will always hold a place in my heart as an beyond excellent anime. Simply unreplaceable.

Durarara!! review

Posted : 8 years, 3 months ago on 17 January 2016 02:13 (A review of Durarara!!)

This show defines what a great anime should be like. Amazing characters. Amazing plot line. Amazing EVERYTHING. I have never seen an anime that I have loved so much in my entire life. I would give it a whole galaxy of stars if I could. Though some might argue that some series are 'better' I would disagree completely. Sure shows like fma B have an amazing plotline amazing characters and amazing everything. but it's missing the something really special that Durarara!! has. There is something entrancingly magical about this whole thing. I love how it just hints at the supernatural without getting drawn into it to much. I love how the antagonist isn't anyways being shoved in your face. I love how it has those character that you can't help but relate to and love. The only thing I would change is in the earlier episodes they use an irritating narrator, but don't worry they stop doing that pretty quickly. Instead whenever they need a narrator after that (which is rarely) they use Izaya's voice actor which makes it relatable and realistic because, even if Izaya isn't there he knows EVERTHING. like I'm not even kidding. The supernatural edge gives so much and makes the gang wars element even more exciting!

Interesting concept. Good action. If you want a long fighting anime then I would recommend this as one of the better ones.

"I totally agree about fma b not being as good as the manga. I read the manga first and was very disappointed with the earlier episodes. Though it did pick up at the end."
